People of Durham streamed a live election open mic on Sunday, October 25, the day before Durham Region's municipal election, giving candidates and voters an open floor to discuss the people and issues on the ballot.
The open stream let candidates and members of the public request to join live using YouTube's Go Live Together feature, with guests joining one at a time for about five to ten minutes each. The channel says it endorses no candidate, and its goal is to help voters get to know the people on their ballot so they can make an informed choice.
Durham Region's municipal election is Monday, October 26. The open mic remains available to watch on People of Durham's YouTube channel.
